Fetch 11 Humane Society, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable agency which relies on donations to do the work we do.  Because we're registered as a non-profit organization with the IRS, your donations may be tax deductible.  There are several ways you can donate to our agency:

We now issue an acknowledgement letter to each donor to use as a receipt for tax purposes, and we post a public thank you to all donors on the Thank You! page of this website.  If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail us.

No donation is too small!  A $20 donation for example will help us buy a large bag of dog food, or pay for a series of DHLPP vaccinations for a puppy.  A $50 donation will help pay for a complete veterinary exam for a puppy or adult dog.  An $80 donation will help pay for a spay/neuter surgery.

Make a Donation by Mail:

Make a Donation On-Line:

You can also send us a donation through the internet!  Just click on the large DONATE button at the bottom of any page on this website.  It will take you to a PayPal site where you can make a donation securely on-line by credit card or check.  NOTE: Our PayPal system does not accept on-line payments from outside the United States.  Out-of-State or out-of-country donors will need to mail in their donations with money orders made out in US currency.

Make a Donation to Our Vet Clinic Accounts:

Because we take in pregnant strays, orphaned puppies and other special needs dogs, we often have to make trips to the emergency room to get the dogs the care they need, so our veterinary bills can often skyrocket.  If you would like to assist us with the vet bills, you can make a donation to the "Fetch 11" accounts at the following veterinary clinics.

Shasta Lake Veterinary Clinic
(our "every day" vet)

4522 Shasta Dam Blvd.

Shasta Lake City, CA 96019

(530) 275-8871

VCA Asher Animal Hospital
(our 24-hour emergency vet)

2505 Hilltop Drive

Redding, CA 96001

(530) 224-2200

You can mail a check directly to the clinics, and put the clinic's name in the Payee line, but make sure they know to deposit the funds in toward the "Fetch 11" account, so the fund go to pay for the veterinary care of our dogs (and not someone else's).  Moneys paid to the clinics on behalf of the Fetch 11 account goes directly to the medical care of the dogs, and helps us to provide emergency care for dogs when they need it. Whenever you make a donation of this kind, please let know so we can contact the clinic to make sure the funds were disbursed to the right account. You can also follow-up with a call to the clinics yourself using the telephone numbers provided above.

Put a Donation Jar in Your Business or Office:

If you will allow us, we can set up a donations box or jar for our agency in your business or office, or you can create a donations jar of your own (a decorated, plastic liter bottle does the job very well!).  If you want us to bring in a donations box or jar, we'll be happy to do so, and we'll monitor it weekly to make sure it's not cluttering up your space.  For more information, please contact us by e-mail.

Sponsor a Dog:

Very often we have specific dogs that need special veterinary treatment, extra training, or behavior modification work, and we accept donations specifically for those dogs.  All of the money donated by doggie "sponsors" goes directly to the particular dog in need, and sponsors are routinely updated by e-mail to let them know how the dog is doing in placement.  Some examples of dogs, in the past, who benefited from sponsorship were:

  • Max: a Bichon / Poodle mix who came to us after being dumped in a pet cemetery in a battery crate.  He had a spinal defect that left him partially paralyzed from the waist back.

  • Reichen: a timid Cocker Spaniel mix who had been isolated as a puppy and needed extra socialization

  • Mrs. Paroo: a blind Pit Bull who came to us blind, pregnant, heartworm positive and with a heart murmur

  • Pakwa: a Border Collie / Terrier mix who came us after being struck by a car

Dogs Currently In Need of Sponsors:

We currently don't have any special needs dogs, but you are welcome to send sponsorship funds to any of the following dogs currently in placement:

  • Anya: She adopted an abandoned litter of puppies and nursed them as her own.  The pups have all been adopted and we're now getting her ready for adoption.  Sponsorship funds would go to her spay surgery and a heartworm test.

  • Della:  She came to us pregnant and with walking pneumonia.  She went through 30+ hours of labor and required two trips to the emergency room to birth her litter of 8 puppies.  Sponsorship funds would go to giving her extra calcium shots when she needs them, as well as her spay surgery and a heartworm test.

  • Della's Puppies:  They are going to need regular vet check-ups and vaccinations (which can get costly when there are so many pups together).  Sponsorship funds would go to their wellness exams, fecal tests, and puppy vaccinations.  The puppies names are: Boston Rob, Shastina, Indiana, Tallahassee, Princeton, Payson, Proberta and Brooklyn.

Remember Us When You Post Items on e-Bay:

Fetch 11 Humane Society, Inc. is registered with MissionFish, so when you post items for sale on e-Bay you can designate a part or all of the proceeds from the sale of your auction items to come to our agency as a donation.  MissionFish takes a small percentage for themselves to administer the transaction, then deposits the rest of the funds into a designated Fetch 11 bank account.  Remember us when you e-Bay!

Donate Coupons:

The agency can always use coupons for dog food, cat food, cat litter, and cleaning supplies.  We also accept coupons from businesses who offer discounts or specials on their products or services for folks who adopt dogs from us.  If you are donating coupons for your products or services, please make the coupons without an expiration date, so adopters can use them whenever they need to.  Please mail coupons to:

Use Your Imagination:

We can use donations of just about anything that is related to dogs and dog care.  Use your imagination and you'll find that you, too, can assist us in the care of our shelter dogs.  If we are unable to use the donated items directly in the shelter, we may be able to give the items as gifts to our adopters (with your name / organization listed as the donor on the item).

  • Art Supply Stores can donate poster frames for agency-related posters, colored pencils (mostly in earth tones) for our staff members to use on coloration charts, and art paper for the projects we do at the shelter house.

  • Automobile Dealerships can help us by donating safety harnesses, carry crates, and strollers for dogs that are transported by car or van; or you can even donate transport vehicles to us (station wagons or vans are always best).

  • Bakeries can donate dog-safe baked treats or baking supplies such as sugar, eggs, flour, and salt so we can bake treats for the shelter dogs ourselves.

  • Carpenters and Building Supply Stores can donate dog houses for us to auction off, or to give to adopters, fencing, and exterior kennels and runs.

  • Clothing Stores can donate booties, sweaters, and muzzles for the dogs.  (We often get in Chihuahuas who have little resistance to cold and need the sweaters to keep warm)

  • Dentists can supply us with dog-safe tooth paste and tooth brushes.

  • Furniture Stores can donate dog beds, and steps or ramps for dogs to use to get up onto the couch or into a vehicle.

  • Gift Shops can donate gift baskets filled with dog treats and toys.

  • Grocery stores can donate food items such as potatoes; frozen fish; frozen chickens; frozen hamburger; eggs; white rice; sweet potatoes and other fresh vegetables; peanut butter; fresh fruit; yogurt; canned pumpkin; unsweetened applesauce; canned green beans; olive oil, etcetera so we can supplement the shelter dogs' diet with these items.

  • Groomers can donate grooming supplies (like brushes, flea combs, and coat rakes); donate free grooming for shelter dogs; and/or provide coupons for your services that we can pass on to people who adopt dogs from us.

  • Health Food Stores can donate supplements for the dogs’ diets such as: Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Flaxseed Oil, and Floral Essences, DAP refills, Cod Liver Oil, etc.

  • Landscapers can provide landscaping and fencing for our dog runs and surrounding grounds (and we'll of course set up signs on the grounds to let everyone know how generous you've been.)

  • Medical doctors can supply us with first aid items for the dogs, stethoscopes, thermometers, otoscopes, needleless syringes, puppy formula and bottles, and other health-related items for our dogs, especially for the pregnant dams and the puppies.

  • Mattress and Bedding Supplies stores and outlets can help us by donating sheets, blankets and pillows for the dogs.

  • Optometrists and Ophthalmologists can donate pairs of "Doggles" protective eye-wear for dogs, ophthalmic ointment, and eye wipes for the shelter dogs.

  • Podiatrists can supply us with toe nail clippers, grinders and files for the dogs’ toenails for use in the shelter and/or to give to adopters with your company name and address/ business card attached.

  • Quilters, Tailors and seamstresses can make donations of hand-crafted soft toys, kennel blankets, and quilts that can be used for the dogs in the Shelter, given to adopted dogs with your name and address/ business card attached, and/or put up for auction.

  • Restaurants can host "Dinner for Doggies" fundraisers.  Pick a specific day to invite the public in to your restaurant, let them know you're doing a fundraiser for shelter dogs, and forward the proceeds from that day's receipts to our agency as a donation.  You get more customers, the customers get fed and feel good about participating in the event, and the dogs in the shelter get the money they need to continue in care.

  • Schools and Classrooms can host "Pennies for Puppies" drives and collect loose coins and change to donate to the shelter.  Start a competition among the various grades in your school to see which one can collect the most change for the dogs!  Or you can sponsor a dog!

  • Sporting Goods stores can supply us with Frisbees, tennis balls and other dog-related sports equipment (like stunt training supplies).

  • Teachers can sponsor a dog's behavior or obedience training, or supply us with dog-training books for folks who adopt dogs from us.

  • Trainers can supply training devices like Clickers, low-cost or no-cost training for shelter dogs, or discount coupons for training to folks who adopt dogs from us.

Thank you for whatever you are able to donate!
